Warm it on up!

Hello there!  It's been quite some time since my last post.   I'm getting warmed back up for a good season of painting and here is the first of what I hope is a good many paintings to come in the season.    I have an art show of sorts coming up and so will have a few new works coming out, so keep an eye on the site!  Thank you, whoever is out there, for your support and interest.  Geronimoooooo.....

Opposite Day

I have once again been swept up in the current of a wildly successful reddit post!  On a tide of approval, wonder, discomfort and disgust, from people across the country and globe who I've never even met.  It was incredibly rad.

Thank you all so much for all of your interest and support!  Your enthusiasm and words of encouragement mean so much.

I've uploaded a couple of new multi-media pieces, as seen below.  I'm also working on a large piece of portraiture and will upload pictures as it moves along!

Reddit, for fame-ish, for real!

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who saw my self portrait posted on reddit.com.  To everyone who upvoted, downvoted and even all of the lurkers!  There was such a huge outpouring of support, constructive criticism and humor.  It was such an amazing experience!

First Post

Hello Everyone!  This is my first post on this here blog.  You all have been pushing me to do this for quite some time.  Each time someone asks me how they can see my work, it gives me a little twinge on the inside.  Well, now they can see it at http://zoetbloom.blogspot.com/! I'm going to work on posting thumbnails of all of the work that I CURRENTLY have pictures of.  Then, I'll get started on taking new pictures of work I have in storage.  Then it's on to the new stuff. 

Special thanks to Chindee Atkins for getting me off my butt and painting for the first time in two years and to my Jeremy for always being my support.
